San Juan Securities, Capital Markets and Public Finance Attorneys

Attorneys at GAC’s Securities, Capital Markets and Public Finance Practice Group possess extensive experience in assisting clients with transactions involving municipal securities offerings, including stock and limited partnership participations, and other governmental related financing and capital markets transactions.

Securities include municipal bonds issued by governmental entities under the powers vested to them by their enabling statutes and bonds issued by the Puerto Rico Authority of Financing for Industrial, Tourist, Educational, Medical and Environmental Control Facilities (commonly referred to as AFICA), Puerto Rico’s industrial revenue bond issuing authority for conduit financing.

Members of the group assist all parties, including issuers, underwriters, borrowers and lender-credit enhancers, with municipal securities transactions. GAC is also an approved bond counsel to the Government Development Bank of Puerto Rico, the island’s central bank.

The lawyers not only assist with the commercial, corporate, real estate and financing aspects of municipal securities and other transactions, but, as members of a full service law firm, they also work with members of related practice areas, including the following:
