GAC also regularly assists our contractor clients in the avoidance, prosecution and defense of claims ranging from the collection of contract payments to complex and sophisticated construction matters such as those associated with delay, disruption and acceleration of construction projects. When disputes and disagreements arise in the context of construction projects, we draw on our extensive Puerto Rico and federal litigation experience to effectively pursue client interests. Our practice group has also represented clients in litigation at all levels involving contested building and zoning matters, purchase agreement and lease contract disputes, mechanics’ liens-type claims, delay claims, change order claims, personal injury claims, and structural failure disputes. We also represent clients through alternative dispute resolution methods, including arbitration, mediation, and settlement. Before and after disputes are resolved, we conduct analyses to determine how such problems can be avoided and more effectively resolved when they do arise.
