Efrain Irizarry-Alvarado is a partner in the Firm's Tax Department. Irizarry's practice includes corporate tax and tax incentives laws. He devotes a substantial part of its time in handling local and state tax issues as well as negotiating closing agreements and requests for rulings with the Puerto Rico Treasury Department. He also has experience in the negotiation of tax exemption grants with the Puerto Rico Office of Industrial Tax Exemption. Mr. Irizarry-Alvarado has advised clients in negotiating for tax credits for investment in tourism, recycling projects and other local laws granting tax credits. Mr. Irizarry-Alvarado is also a certified public accountant.
